Well here goes it. My summer adventure has begun. As I write
my first blog post sitting in the London Airport, so many unknowns await me. My
life has been pure craziness the past few weeks. From AP exams to graduation,
everything is over. I don’t think the feeling or realization has set in yet.
Not only am I done with high school, but I will be spending the next few months
in a foreign country, alone. I still have excitement for what I will be doing,
but I think leaving is a little harder than I thought it would be. Especially
after finding out I have to be at college six days after I return. Nonetheless,
everyone has told me this experience will change my life; I am ready. In the
next weeks I will fully grasp onto everything I see, do, and learn. Such an opportunity
to be in Kenya for two months will only come once in my life, and I am ready to
embrace it.
You learn something about "once in a lifetime experiences" as you grown old. They don't just happen once. You may choose to have these opportunities time and time again. Appreciate every one, yes, embrace them. Have a wonderful stay in Kenya Steph :)
